Whether you are a traveller or not, whether you are a lone traveller or love to travel as a group, there are certain things that one should always keep in mind when packing for trip.
One of the packing tips that are considered as the basics of packing is to know the place where you wish to travel. Study about the place online, study the weather there that will help you keep clothes accordingly. Keep your passport/ tickets, ID proof handy so that you do not have to look for them. Know the time that you have to be at the airport/ station. You should move from your destination at least an hour early so that there is no chance of you getting stuck in traffic and missing your flight or train.
Now here are some more packing tips for different kind of travellers:
1. If you are a woman who loves to travel or who moves around the world for business, there are certain things that you have to keep in mind while travelling. Things like, buying a trolley with which you can attach another bag also, it makes pushing your stuff around easier. When buying a trolley look for a lightweight. While travelling alone don’t wear your valuables like expensive rings, bracelets, chain or watches. Carry a chunky scarf that can act like blanket in case it gets cold, which it generally does.
2. If you love hiking or travelling a lot then, here is a packing tip for traveller, have a 'travel drawer’ at your place, where you have short-listed the items and kept them separate. This saves a lot of time, when you all of a sudden make up your mind to go on a field trip again. The things that you can keep are bathroom kit, some clothes, undergarments, sunglasses, travelling papers like insurance and all that stuff.
3. If you travel with your family to different tourist destination, then it is advisable after choosing the place, know how much weight can you carry. How much baggage is allowed? What are the rules of the country? While packing, pack in the manner that you can keep the maximum stuff yet your baggage is not overweight.
(a). When travelling as a family, do keep required medications, all medicines are not available in every country. Also don’t forget to keep doctor’s prescription.
(b). Carry your spare in the carry-on bag that you will be taking with you inside the airplane.
(c). Don’t carry too much bulky stuff with you. It will take more space as well increase the load, restricting you to carry your desired stuff.
(d). Always carry your phone chargers, know if the country you are going to has the switches/electric points compatible to your chargers, if not carry adapters.
(e). Restrain from wearing rings, bracelets, as due to cabin pressure there are chances of your fingers swelling up and you do not want that.
(f). While travelling, especially long distance, wear clothes that are not too tight, so that you feel comfortable.
In short, travel light, travel safe! just keep the above-listed things in your mind, and you are ready to travel the world.
